Information We Collect
Depending on the service provided, Legit Inks may collect the following information:
- Personal Identifiers: Name, address, phone number, and email.
- Government-Issued Identification: Copies of Driver’s Licenses, Passports, or Social Security numbers (specifically for I-9 and CORI verifications).
- Audio-Visual Recordings: For global RON services, we record the session as required by NH RSA 456-B and other jurisdictional laws.
- Sensitive Document Content: Information contained within Estate Planning documents, Business Agreements, and Apostille filings.
- Biometric & Identity Verification Data: Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) results and credential analysis data used during digital transactions.
Service-Specific Data Handling
- Remote Online Notarization (Global): We utilize state-approved, encrypted platforms to record and store your session and digital journal for the statutory period (10 years in New Hampshire).
- Mobile Notary & Courier Services (New England): For in-person services, we collect only the information necessary to complete the notarial journal and ensure the secure delivery of physical documents.
- Apostille & Estate Planning: We handle sensitive legal and international documents with “High-Touch VIP” care, ensuring that your data is only shared with the necessary government agencies or legal entities required for processing.
- I-9 & CORI Verifications: We act as an authorized representative or agent, strictly following federal and state guidelines for the secure handling and transmission of employment eligibility and background check data.

Legit Inks uses your data strictly to:

- Verify identity to prevent fraud and identity theft.
- Facilitate the secure transport and courier of physical legal documents.

- Physical Data: Documents provided for courier or Apostille services are returned to the client or the intended recipient immediately upon completion. Any temporary copies are shredded via secure cross-cut disposal.
- Digital Data: Notarial journals and video recordings are retained for the legally mandated 10-year period in a secure, encrypted environment.
